The Port Harcourt chapter of Junior Chamber International, a worldwide Federation of young men and women with passion for leadership training and entrepreneurship development has elected Issa Fatai OWOYEMI as its 2018 President .
In a press release by the Special Adviser to the President Issa Fatai OWOYEMI on communications and publicity, Mr Akinwumi Dickson, the newly elected Helmsman graduated with Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Kwara State Polytechnic and also acquired professional certificates in Confined Space Rescue, Occupational Safety and health management.
Issa OWOYEMI also obtained Advanced Certificate in Warehousing and Materials Management.
A result oriented person with experience in Logistics and Project Execution, Issa OWOYEMI, who had worked with Horchi Construction Company in Port – Harcourt as a Store keeper, is currently a Logistics Supervisor with TMCH Group Limited, Port – Harcourt. Issa who is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management, Red Cross Society and Waste Management Society of Nigeria is expected to appoint his Board of Directors in January.
Junior Chamber International, a non profit organisation, is a worldwide Federation of young men and women with active participation in Leadership roles and entrepreneurship development, was founded by Henry Giessembier in 1915 but officially became Junior Chamber International on December 11, 1944.
The Nigerian affiliate was founded by otunba Bola Adewumi on March 9,1957 while the Port Harcourt chapter was founded by Mr Tunde Arogunmati in 1983.
